Another success story in Kingston

Today a large group came in to the library to participate in the Makerlab workshop, which entailed four different stations. While the younger kids of the group found themselves playing with the Brush bots set, where they raced motorized toothbrushes around a track, the older ones attempted to set up the makey makey kit. With it, they were able to hook up different conductible objects (Keys, scissors, coins) to a controller in order to play games such as Tetris by tapping on the objects. The best part however came when they connected the wires of the kit to each other and were able to play games by tapping each other on the shoulder.
Overall it was a great program and by the end of it all of them asked me if they could stay for awhile longer.
A great morning for both those participating and for me; everybody had a great time.
