Success Story

A woman came in for a tutorial yesterday. She brought her laptop and was looking for help with email and the internet along with Word. The first problem we ran into was that her computer would not connect to wifi. No matter what I did or how many times I tried, the sign in prompts wouldn't appear and the internet icon continually said limited. So, we moved on to Word since that doesn't need the internet. I showed her the basics of selecting, cut, copy and paste as well as fonts and how to change the size. We used one of the computers at the library to explore the internet and use her email. We soon encountered the problem of not knowing the password for her email. She said she would call her daughter that night because she knew the password and with that, we called it a day. I suggested she take her computer to where ever she bought to see if they could help with the wifi situation. The success behind all of this is that she was supposed to come in for a lesson this morning but she called early and said she had taken it to the store and they sent it back to the manufacturers because there was a problem with the machine. That's why she had been running into all of these problems. I hope she has better luck in the future!
