Having access to my local C@P site here in Kingsport has been an absolute godsend for me. I teach at university and use of the Internet and Course websites is becoming more and more essential as the years go by. When working at my university I am fortunate to have the services of the Departmental secretary who is very proficient with the new technology and indeed teaches a computer course for students.. I may add that I am of an older generation for whom the computer is still quite new and unfamiliar territory. I also find that I do not use a computer enough to become fluent in its use. It has therefore been absolutely invaluable for me to have the presence and advice of our C@P site's summer student Caitlin Ward. She has been unfailingly helpful and, incidentally, has given me quite a few tips that I will be able to use in the future. Apparently an "old dog" can learn new tricks! This summer I dropped into the site just for convenience but it turned out to be a very useful and successful experience. We are extremely fortunate to have this local C@P programme here in Nova Scotia and I believe it would be a great loss were it to discontinue.
Thanks for the opportunity to express my gratitude and to endorse thsi vital summer project.
Sincerely,
Peter Dockwrey
Wonderful story Caitlin - kudos to you!
