My Summer with C@P
1. Looking back how would you describe your summer with C@P?
Over all I had a great summer with C@P
this year. I learned lots and got some great work experience. Oh, and had fun doing
so. This summer however was a little slower than other summers. I think this is
because many people thought C@P had closed down
because of the loss of federal funding.
2.What did you get out of this summer?
I learned about a number of programs such as Camtasia and
Google docs. I also got great experience working with groups to make two
workshops.
3. What did you think of the higher ups?
Meaghan did a great job coordinating again this year. She
was on top of everything, keeping us organized and making sure we did not miss
any dates (Thanks Meaghan!)
Debbie also did a great job watching over me. At the start
of the summer she said she would be visited often, but being bogged down in
work (not surprisingly) did not get to. However, she emailed often and she was
able to bring me some homemade bread (yumy yumy bread). She is really a great
boss. I find myself fortunate to have been able to work with her for another
summer.
4.What could C@P do better next
summer?
For improvement to the program next Summer I would recommend
C@P get involved with making help videos on Youtube
(will be great to show how many people watch the videos) and I would also
recommend promoting more leisurely use of the blog (get people posting fun
things for other youth interns).
5. What should C@P do again next
summer?
Keep up the blogging it is a great way to stay connected
with other youth interns. Also, I with the projects are a great way to promote
C@P, but make some challenges optional and less important ones not.
