Helping and learning at the same time.
At the start of this week I had a lady and her child come in. She wanted to know where the sand beach was in the area. I found the question a bit odd at first because the Upper Vaughan C@P site is in the middle of the woods far from the sea. She then explained that she used to live in the area and that she used to visit a small sandy beach in one of the lakes. Not being from the area I did not know where this was. Wanting to help I pulled up Google maps and with her directions starting looking around for it. After a short time we found the sandy beach, which could clearly be seen on Google maps. Turns out the beach was just in the lake right next to the C@P site. So, in the end I was able to help her to find her childhood sandy beach and at the same time learned that their was a small sandy beach in the lake close to the C@P site. Win Win.
