not-so-success(ful) story

So today was my first 3D printer workshop and it was filled with participants.  Before people arrived I had gone ahead and created emails for all of them to use when signing up for an account on Tinkercad so they didn't have to use their personal email.  Once everyone arrived I got them set up on a computer and asked them to go to Tinkercad.  We clicked on create free account.  Everyone put in their name, the email I had given them and created a password.  When we clicked create account every single person got an error from Tinkercad saying there was a problem and no new accounts could be created at this time.  We tried again, with no success.  I had to send everyone home - it was terrible! So I guess my advice for everyone is to create Tinkercad accounts for everyone in advance and then give them a login email and password when they come.  Otherwise you risk not being able to host the workshop at all!

  1. I just had one of my own unsuccessful stories. A lady came for a tutorial and half way through she said I don't think I like this computer stuff. It's boring and too much work. She said she just wasn't ready to learn about computers. :( Hopefully she will come back!
