C@P Internship week 1 / 2
My first two weeks as a youth intern have certainly flown. Between scheduling, programming, rescheduling, and paperwork I have definitely been busy, as I know we all have. There hasn't been a lot of interactions with "clients" yet for me. I really have only had two interactions, one with a local blogger (who is promoting our programs on her website!) and the other with a lady who has been locked out of her hotmail account. Unfortunately I don't have a success story with her yet. We worked through the steps of trying to recover and now we're waiting on Microsoft to "decide" whether she has provided enough information for them to recover her email. Talk about frustrating.
I have been doing a lot of promoting for the summer programs. Because the Hantsport library is located in the Hantsport school I spent a lot of time last week creating pamphlets to go home with the students. These pamphlets will also be handed out in the Canada Day parade here in Hantsport. So I guess you could say that is my success story for the week - promoting. Now all I can do is hope I get some people to sign up :)
