E-mail Charter
To be honest, I didn’t think that emailing was so bad.
I mean, if you don’t want people to email you then you shouldn’t give them your email address. That being said…
While rule #9 makes sense (perhaps some people don’t like opening their inbox to a “Great, thanks” message) I don’t think there is anything wrong with a little bit of appreciation. If you are being bombarded with emails daily, an appreciative one of thanks or recognition should be welcomed.
Rule #2 was a good one. Not so much from a “we want our lives back” standpoint but rather a “say what you need to say” standpoint. If I can write or reply to an email in 5 words, why would I bother writing a short story? Short or slow is not rude, I agree. But for those who think they’re coming across as rude in their email, add a smiley emoticon. J
Rule #7 is another good one. It is super annoying when you’re trying to quickly check your email and you have to wait 2 extra minutes for a pointless graphic/attachment to load.
All things considered, I can't say that I get too bent out of shape when it comes to emails.
