I don't find I'm bothered by much when it comes to e-mail; it's relatively speedy but some of these rules had some useful advice. For instance, I could probably improve on my e-mail etiquette by shortening my messages somewhat, as the charter suggests in the 2nd rule. I sometimes worry about being impolite in an e-mail and so my e-mails can end up being longer than they need to be to include certain formalities. Yet, being considerate of someone's time is polite too so I'll consider that when e-mailing.
As for the EOM and NNTR in rule #8, I can see how they're useful but I wonder how many people are familiar with those acronyms. I could see myself putting 'no need to respond' in some e-mails now though since stating that could be helpful to certain people (e.g. professors!).
As a sidenote - Lisa from AVR dropped by this morning and put out
an announcement for the Comic Strips program in Berwick and brought juice boxes
for any kids who drop by, it was really nice!
