Although the worst of the economic downturn has passed by now, genuine growth and recovery remains sluggish - especially in countries like the UK, where the fall in private sector debt ratios and rebuilding of savings ratios lasts well into the second half of this decade.
With America nearly bankrupt, a clear shift in the balance of power is taking place from West to East. If the 19th century was Europe's century, and the 20th century was America's, then the 21st century looks like being Asia's - or at least, a combination of Asia's and America's.
If this is true then money, resources and technology will be thrown into the hands of asia’s top developers. Where it will then be put to use, technology will grow at such a large rate that “this” will be the result.
A multifunctional “Help” button. In the past the Help button on any computer has been a complete waste of time. It is no help at all unless you want to read hours and hours of information that really won’t tell you what you want to know. The new help button will be capable of the following tasks: Think about the problem, click help, it is fixed now. If you are stranded on a desert island being attacked by the indigenous people, click help, and now you are suddenly king. If you fell overboard on a sailing adventure and your using your laptop as a floatation device, click help, and watch as you are safely restored to your sailing vessel. If you forget how to make a sandwich, click help, and you guessed it you will have a sandwich waiting in your cd drive.
There is a downside to this new feature. C@P youth interns won’t be needed to answer questions. However they will be needed if clients can not find the help button.
Warning: help button still can’t make friends for you or fix your hair.
Can the next invention be a make friends button ?
